The back  of Spice has been transformed into The Clubhouse at Spice, a fun room perfect for any party space. If you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere for the bridal shower you’re planning, this is the space. The Clubhouse is a bright retro-funky backdrop to your event.  Vintage bicycles hang from the ceiling and old albums and license plates line the natural wood pillars. The Clubhouse could really be home to any event. Baby showers, birthday parties, sorority luncheons..you name it, The Clubhouse can do it.

Let’s get into the details :There is enough table seating for 60 people and a buffet table to serve food, catch gifts, and cut the cake.  A sink, prep space, and fridge/freezer are included in your rental too.  You are able to bring in any food you like whether it be catered or a home cooked meal.  You are also able to bring in alcoholic beverages so that new mommy your toasting to isn’t confined to the same sparkling apple cider she’s been toasting with for the past 9 months.

Monday through Friday there is one 3-hour time slot available per day between 10:30am and 5:30pm. Saturdays have two 3-hour time slots available 10-1 and 1:30-4:30. Sundays also have one 3-hour time slot from 1:30-4:30 open to rent. Party times are two hours. The 30 minutes before and after the party are for set up and clean up.

The Clubhouse rents at $150 (plus tax) for 3 hours with $50 (plus tax) due at booking.

The overall theme for this year’s showhouse is “The Hamptons.” The style is bright, airy, and a little bit colonial. In keeping with this theme, Jennifer used accessories from multiple Spice Village shops including The Calico Cat’s Urban Warehouse, Gable Hills Collection, and Spice Home & Gift.   Functionality meets style and durability in these rooms. The mudroom features three separate stalls as a drop and go station right inside the garage all accessorized in rustic gardening and sports equpiment. The office nook is small but efficiently designed. White built in cabinets are the home to cubbies to store your office supplies. Finally, the laundry room keeps with the light and bright theme but adds pops of bright red for interest in an otherwise hard to decorate utility room.  If nothing else, these accessories will have you running to Spice to replicate the look in your own home.

Proceeds from The Waco Symphony Council Showhouse benefit the Waco Symphony Orchestra and fund musical youth and educational experiences in the community. This means things like ZooTunes! and the Belles and Brass Program are funded by the activities and sale of the showhouse.

This year you have even more opportunities to visit “The Hamptons of Hidden Valley” showhouse.  Tours are going on Monday-Saturday from 11-4 and Sundays 1-4 until April 21.  Tours are $10 and tickets can be purchased at the showhouse.  The house also has a tearoom for you to sit and have a nice lunch Monday-Saturday 11:30-1:30 at a cost of $15. The showhouse is located in Hidden Valley subdivision at 7040 Bending Trail.

Caldrea products include Room & Linen Spray, Dish Soap, All Purpose Cleaner, and several others.  My favorite scent? Sea Salt Neroli. It has me dreaming of summer and washing away my winter blues. Sea Salt Neroli mingles lemony freshness with simple clean notes.  You can’t go wrong with any of the scents Spice carries though.  Basil Blue Sage, Mandarin Vetiver, and Rosewater Driftwood are all available in several products RIGHT NOW at Spice.

If you find the price a little prohibitive, think of it this way: Caldrea soaps are more concentrated than other brands, so you really will only need a half-size squirt to get those eggs off the pan after it sat out all day.  Beyond only needing half as much dish soap at a time, the scent of Caldrea soaps is strong! Dish washing may even be a little more bearable when you get to smell Basil Blue Sage the whole time.

which you know we love to do.

this year we really went all out to turn Spice Village into the most mesmerizing display of winter, holiday, and Christmas merriment ever before beheld. and it took us almost a month & a half, but we did it! we are sincerely pleased with the final result of our Christmas decor. And if you have stopped by in the last 2 weeks then you have seen and hopefully agree! If you haven’t been by yet this season, or you live too far to venture out to us, we thought we’d give you a front row, up close and personal view of our monstrosities. Better yet, we’re going to take you behind the curtain, into the prep and making of it all. And you don’t even have to leave your computer.
Genius.
From our huge displays to the little details, we have captured it all and its coming your way in just a couple scrolls of your mouse.

its been 2.5 weeks since we premiered it all…and we are still covered head to toe in glitter. but it was worth it.

we love making you feel like you walked into magic when you come up our stairs. and we’ll do it again and again. just for that feeling you get when you surmount the top and are so overjoyed & overwhelmed you can’t decide whether you should go left or right first.

thats why we do it.

well, that and we are just enthralled with creating spaces.
